SMART GRID CONTROL CENTER

Implementation of a new digitization system

SMART GRID CONTROL CENTER

The digitization project – implementation of a SMART GRID CONTROL CENTER system – consists of establishing an intelligent interconnection system between client companies and Prosimed for data management, remote operation, and control of our clients' wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). Furthermore, this system will allow us to conduct tests and implement innovations at the WWTPs by simulating changes in editable parameters that modify the plant's operating conditions. This will enable us to optimize processes in terms of both energy efficiency and operational performance, obtaining essential data and information for future designs without the need for on-site visits.
The system interface will allow users to set critical limit values and generate alarms, visual and audible alerts that can be sent to operators via messaging (SMS, WhatsApp, email, etc.). This connection between client companies and Prosimed will improve the planning of preventive maintenance, leading to enhanced installation performance. This will enable remote diagnosis and correction of problems, allowing technicians to act from the control center and/or from tablets, mobile phones, or PCs, regardless of their location.

BENEFITS OF THE SYSTEM

This implementation generates benefits for our clients and Prosimed in the form of: Preventing discharges outside limits; Significant savings in hours dedicated to WWTP monitoring, both for the client and Prosimed, since the SMART system monitors 24/7. The main benefits are: 24/7 online monitoring; Instant control of deviations; The client "rests at ease knowing that SGCC-Prosimed is monitoring their WWTP"; Recording of operational data; Improved discharge quality = fewer errors; Increased capacity for preventive actions; Optimization of human resources; Savings in travel; Reduced environmental impact.
This project is approved within the framework of the support program for Innovative Business Clusters, aimed at improving the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The corresponding call for proposals for 2021 is now open, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. Duration: November 22, 2021 – August 20, 2022. Partners:
